England - Yorkshire Dales to Lake District

Fountains Abbey has an extensive vaulted cellarium (top right photo) that runs for more than 91 meters. This is the area the monks used as cellars and store-rooms and it extended right down to the River Skell. The vaulted ceiling arches supported the dormitories above.
